Art Club

There is no better way to unite students who share a passion for art and creativity than the Center School Art Club. This club fosters creativity and allows students the opportunity to explore art through multiple different lenses.

Whether students are interested in painting, drawing, sculpture, or any other form of artistic expression, our art club provides a supportive and collaborative environment for students to explore and develop their artistic skills.

The Center School Art Club is open to all grade levels and meets once a week throughout the school year.  Each month, the art club completes different projects that focus on building specific skills or artistic styles, such as portraiture, therefore reinforcing the elements and principles of design.

Students have access to various materials, including a potter’s wheel and kiln, specialty glazes, canvases, and paints, that are only used during the art club, and other multimedia to help inspire creativity.

It is not uncommon to see art lining the walls of Center School. This is a mixture of art club and art class projects. Once a year, an art exhibition is held to showcase all of the work created throughout the year.

Center School is fortunate to have a highly qualified art teacher on staff, Mrs. Debbie Kowalchuk, who leads the Art Club. She is a graduate of Temple University's Tyler School of Art and has been a part of Center School since 2002.
