After School Art

Image of art completed in art class.

Center School Art teacher Deborah Kowalchuk uses visual arts to create exciting art projects throughout the school year. This could be a combination of learning painting techniques, sculpting, ceramics, and building masterpieces every week!

Art Club is very popular and is purposely kept as a small club so students can interact with their peers, relax and receive 1-1 support on their projects. There is a supply fee to join the art club.

After School Sports

Center School Soccer Team

Center School offers opportunities for students in grades 5-8 to participate in competitive team sports, including soccer, basketball, and softball. Center School’s gym teacher and coach, Mr. Tom Copeland, teaches the basics of each sport during practice which is held three times a week. Students train and learn the different sports disciplines and how to show good sportsmanship during matches against other schools.

Other After School Clubs

Board Game Club

After-school clubs are created and run by our teachers and staff. These can vary every year, but some recent examples are the Social Media/Photography Club and Board Game Club.  We ask students what their interests are each year and then create clubs based on their responses.
