Kristina Henderson

It is great to meet you! My name is Kristina Henderson, and I teach Middle School Reading and Writing.

I wanted to share a little about myself. I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education and have a Master’s Degree from Portland State University in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a certified Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), which is an affiliate of the International Dyslexia Association.

Having taught for about 10 years, I've had the opportunity to work in several different roles: second grade teacher, English as a second language instructor, Spanish dual language immersion teacher, and elementary reading specialist.  My favorite part of teaching is seeing the pride students feel as they grow and the excitement they show when learning new things and making connections.

Outside of school, I enjoy having family game and movie nights,  reading, drawing, lifting weights, and yoga.

I look forward to seeing you and your family at school events. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at school at 215.657.2200 or via email [email protected].

Middle School Reading and Writing Teacher
