Center School is a highly regarded 1-8 private school in Abington, PA with a successful 30-year track record of providing children who have learning disabilities with a personalized education to identify strengths, challenges, and build confidence. Focused on students with challenges primarily in language-based learning and ADD/ADHD, Center School accepts students at all grades and makes it a goal to transition them into traditional schools when they demonstrate mastery of strategies to support their successful lifelong learning.

Middle School Reading Specialist 

The Middle School Reading Specialist works to meet the diverse needs of the learners in the classroom. The Middle School Reading Specialist designs lessons that focus on reading strategy and skill development, vocabulary development, and writing. Creativity is embraced and encouraged as teachers are given opportunities to exercise professional judgement and customize the curriculum.

Day to Day Substitute Teachers

Center School is seeking day-to-day substitute teachers at a per-diem rate.

  • Are a teacher or other professional with experience working with bright children with learning differences.
  • Are a Pennsylvania state certified teacher in Elementary Education/Special Education and with Reading Specialist Certification.
