Citizen of the Year Award 20-21 school year

Congratulations, Latoya Johnson!

Mrs. Wawrzyniak and Latoya. Center School’s motto is the cornerstone of our programming and guides students in being their best selves and striving towards personal goals and success. Last school year, the Center School Citizen of the Year award was created to recognize a Center School student who best represents the three qualities identified in our school
motto: We are Respectful, We are Responsible, We are Ready to Learn. The presentation of this award acknowledges the student’s accomplishments, including the positive impact on their peers, their teachers, and the Center School community.

Latoya was chosen based upon her ability to show respect in courteous actions towards all in the building, her responsibility through preparedness and self-advocacy skills, and her readiness in learning by demonstrating an eagerness to succeed through hard work and perseverance.

We were pleased to present this newly created award to Latoya at Step Up Day last school year. Latoya was presented with a certificate and a $50 VISA gift card. We are very proud of Latoya and thank her for being a respectful, responsible, and ready to learn student. We look forward to selecting our next Citizen of the Year.
