Special Needs School
Special-needs schools are set up to provide dyslexia education and developmental programs for children with different educational needs. Dyslexia is one of the most common learning disabilities among children, and a lack of understanding about the condition sometimes makes solutions difficult. Children with dyslexia often have difficulty reading and writing. They may perceive writing or sounds as jumbled and reverse letters or numbers when writing them down. Some children may have problems remembering or comprehending their lessons. This does not mean they are slow or have difficulty learning. On the contrary, many people with the condition show immense skill in creative and abstract fields of thought.
A Special-Needs School Can Solve Developmental Difficulties.
At the Center School, we've developed a specialized educational program designed to treat students with special needs. Our classes feature two teachers each, allowing them to engage individual students personally while still remaining on task. We stress the need for language and communication skills, allowing students to express themselves better and increase their confidence and self-esteem. Our special-needs school addresses phonetics and comprehension while encouraging students to excel in areas of demonstrated strength. Not only does this help break the frustrating pattern of struggle and failure that a normal education environment may foster, but it also helps engender positive work habits that can last a lifetime. We offer courses for students at both the lower and middle school levels. Summer programs are also available for special-needs children in grades 1 through 6.
