In 1989, there were two parents whose own children were not succeeding in school. Concerned about a lack of educational choices, these two parents founded Center School.
They wanted their children to be successful in school and in life. They wanted them to go on to college.
Knowing that their children were as intelligent as other children, they recognized the need for a specialized educational program for students with reading difficulties and learning differences. Since then, Center School's intensive and supportive program has focused on the needs of elementary and middle school students who have met with failure in attempts to learn to read in more traditional settings.
