In 1989, two mothers whose own children were not succeeding in school were concerned about a lack of educational choices: these two mothers founded Center School.
They wanted their children to be successful in school and in life. They wanted them to go on to college.
They recognized the need for a specialized educational program for students with reading difficulties and learning differences. Since then, Center School's intensive and supportive program has focused on the needs of elementary and middle school students who have met with academic failure and frustration in more traditional settings.
